The territory of the tribe of Naphtali adjoined, on its western border, to Phoenicia, and there must, therefore, have been frequent and easy communication between the Phoenicians and the Naphtalites, resulting sometimes in intermarriage. This will explain the fact that Hiram the Builder was the son of a widow of Naphtali and a man of Tyre.
